Welcome to the FAQ page! If you're wondering, “Is this normal?” or “How does this work?” — you're in the right place. Here's everything clients typically ask before booking.

Where are you located?
Hairloom Extensions and Styling is a private, one-on-one salon studio. The address is 102 Ward Street Unit 2 Montgomery, NY.

Do you accept walk-ins?
Nope—my studio is by appointment only to give each client my full attention (and to keep things peaceful, just the way we like it).

 

Is there parking?
Yes, there is easy and free parking right outside the salon.

Do you offer hair extensions for fine or thinning hair?
Yes! I specialize in a lightweight, discreet method that is gentle on fragile or thinning hair. Extensions should enhance your hair—not stress it out.

How do I know if I'm a good candidate for extensions?
We’ll determine that during a phone or in person consultation. I’ll assess your natural hair health, density, and lifestyle to recommend the best route—sometimes that’s extensions, and sometimes we pivot to a hair regrowth plan.

How long do extensions last?
It depends on the method and your hair care routine, but most need maintenance every 6–8 weeks. The hair extension wefts can last 5-8 months.

Do you treat hair loss?
Yes—I’m a certified Hair Loss Practitioner currently working with clients on customized regrowth systems, scalp support, and healthy hair habits.

Can I book a hair loss consultation online?

Not yet, but soon to come!

What’s your cancellation policy?
Cancellations require 48 hours' notice to avoid a 50–100% fee. Appointment retainers are transferable up to one time. I understand that life happens—I just ask for respect and communication.

How do I book an appointment?
Click over to the "new guest" page. From there it will start with a questionnaire, which will then be delivered to my inbox. Shortly after, I will contact you with the next step.

Can I bring my own hair to my appointment?
In most cases, I do not work with outside hair. Why? Because I can’t vouch for the quality, longevity, or how it will behave with your natural hair over time. I work with trusted brands that I’ve personally vetted to ensure the hair blends beautifully, lasts, and doesn’t compromise your scalp or strands. If you already have hair and want me to assess it, let’s chat during a consultation—but I may still recommend sourcing new hair to get the best possible result.

Do you offer refunds?
Due to the nature of salon services and product-based regimens, refunds are not offered. However, I want you to love your results—so if you ever have concerns, I’ll always work with you to make things right.

What’s the vibe of your studio?
Private, relaxed, a little woo woo, a little luxe. It’s a quiet space where you can exhale, sip tea, talk hair, and not feel rushed. I work one-on-one and never double-book.

​

Can I bring a friend or child to my appointment?
To keep the environment calm and focused, I kindly ask that you come solo unless pre-approved.
